We've stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Key West lovely hotel and would certainly stay there again. They have a beautiful bar on the roof where you can watch the sunset go down.

We've stayed at the Shearton Miami Airport hotel. Lovely hotel and nice pool. Quick transfer which runs every 15 minutes and if you can get a club room for a good price I would recommend it.

Have you thought about booking a day room at Gatwick when you land? We did this a couple of years ago and stayed at the Hilton then drove up back home about 4pm made life so much easier.
