Its interesting to read about the love for Port Douglas. We've been there once, never again. We thought it was a very slightly upmarket version of Great Yarmouth.

Thats sounds like an extraordinary event for which I'd say compensation is not payable. I also don't think they would refund the flight if they took you the next day.
