I prefer Surfside but only because it's smaller and quieter. The gate to iDrive is a slight advantage if you are walking. It really comes down to whether you prefer a busy or quieter atmosphere.

The gate opens directly onto I-Drive across the road from Walgreens and a one minute walk to i-Ride trolley stop 6 North. When the gate is locked your room key won't open it.

I think the Floridatix price may be a mistake. The 3rd party sites are all usually around the same price. OAT for example have them at £619 and Orlando Attractions are £613 for your date.
