Christmas in Lapland Day 3 Christmas Day

Hubby - Richard 34 (the one with the credit card)
Me - Teresa 37 (chief planner and organiser)
DS1 - Daniel 10 (Santa's Little Helper)
DS2 - Joshua 9 (Santa's Little Helper)

It's Christmas Day and we are in the Hotel Santa Claus with fresh snow outside and Daniel trying to wake us up at 6.30am. He had woken at 5.15am (UK equivalent of 3.15am) He could see some presents and a teddy peeping out of his stocking. He had struggled to stay in bed that long!

We managed to drag him out until 6.55am! Then it was time to see what Santa had left. The little envelopes with their names on had a card inside and said that maybe he had left some more presents at home, so that was lucky.
The main things he left them were their DS Lite's and a game each to play on the plane home, he also left them chocolates and other bits and pieces, so he was a very kind Santa!

Santa left Richard with a jumper, so he must have got in his good book, well partly! Santa left me a DS Lite! He is very kind!

After spending awhile opening presents and then getting dressed we went down for breakfast at 8am. We were given another glass of champagne and then the choice of breakfast buffet. Richard and the boys opted for cereal and a waffle or yoghurt. I made my waffle and also had a yoghurt, with apple juice then tea!

Fergus the Coach and Frosty the Elf were picking us up at 9.30am to take us to Santa Park and yet again we were waiting for that particular family, guess they must need a room call each morning.

Frosty the Elf

Santa Park is built underground.

Elf School was recommended to us, but the first showing wasn't until 10.30, so we went into the bakery and decorated a ginger biscuit, we paid the extra Euro2 to have the box to store them in, which does have the recipe on. At this point, I phoned my Mum and Dad and wished them Happy Christmas.

When we came out, it was time to join the queue for Elf School, there appeared to be people pushing in, especially when the Elf came out and said they could only allow 100 people in. So some more people started to try and push in, but the Elf from Elf school and one of our Elves stopped them all and sent them to the back of the queue, so that was really efficient and those that tried to push in, didn't get to go in as there was way more than 100 in the queue. We did however and it was hilarious, the Elves were so much fun and we were made honoury elves.

Once you graduated from Elf school, you could purchase a diploma, this caused a bit of a queue though and so we missed the Elf Show. The diploma's were Euro15 each, so we just bought the boys one as a souvenir.
