We went years ago and were at the space centre the day of a shuttle launch (coincidence and happy accident) but launch was then delayed by a day. We were in magic kingdom the next day and still saw the shuttle go up. We have not managed to time our trips with launches since then but will still be going to KSC when we go back as hubby is a big space nerd and is dying to see all the spaceX stuff going on there See more... |
We saw the final space shuttle launch 11 years ago from one of the malls east of Orlando -some distance away so couldn't hear it but was just glad to see. Back in 2003 we saw a mission to Mars launch from our apartment at Summer Bay - launch had been delayed a few times but eventually went at night-time so we were able to see it for quite a while.
