Boston would be my suggestion. Or LA, San Diego, Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami, New Orleans...
TBH, if I was booking a USA city break I would choose based on flight prices and hotel prices. We’re not very flexible on dates due to school holidays so price is an important factor. Also, the season that you’re going would play a part in decision making - I wouldn’t go to Chicago in the winter (too cold), Vegas or New Orleans in the height of summer (too hot), Boston is beautiful in the autumn and Miami is perfect for winter sun.
