Go and visit the holodomor museum too, I didn't know anything about this until we went last year it was completely hidden from the world for about 30 years before it came to light, a famine across Ukraine instigated by Russia and starving millions to death. Have you booked your hotel yet? I can reccommend the staro if you haven't,
