Ideally you want a chime as well which is the ringer for inside the house. Ring also requires you to have a subscription that you pay monthly for.

There has also been a high theft rate on ring doorbells which have only been stuck to the door frame and not screwed on.

Ring is probably still the slickest and easy to use but there are many others now. Some don't require subscriptions, some even come with solar panel chargers so you don't need to take them down to charge.
