We flew into MCO and out of Miami last year and the prices seem so good this year if prepared to fly in and out of Miami, but having done it last year we decided against it. Although it was an easy enough journey it is just such a long drive - in my opinion. We managed to get flights from LHR via AMS into MCO from 21st July - 2nd August for £1533 for 2AD and 1 CH(11). We live less than an hour from Heathrow so we are much happier starting there instead of the extra drive to Gatwick. We decided to do in-direct and save money that way instead of flying into Miami. When I was checking the early part of this year for July/August this year for some rough prices, you could get nearer the £450 mark flying in-direct into MCO. I'm sure if you wait it out there will be flights at the prices you want. I am too impatient to wait it out Mind you I booked our KLM flights as soon as they appeared and the same slights are now nearly £2000 more
