Well, the main advantage is that onsite guests can get a decorated MagicBand for a discounted price rather than a plain-coloured MagicBand like they used to get.
That decorated MagicBand will then be waiting for them when they check-in at their resort. And the decorated MagicBand will have their name imprinted on the back. It replaces the plain-coloured one they used to get.
