Stayed at Best Western at Fort Myers Beach, breakfast included, right on the sands, balcony overlooking the Gulf, but a bit of a walk to the pier and 'town' though, but a nice walk down there on the beach itself.
Stunning sunset, and we saw the moon 'set' as well not long after, which was memorable for us 
Sand dollars galore in the shallows, crunching underfoot!
I remember the resident chatty parrot as you checked in.
