OP. Perhaps what you�re being advised is the PC version of Office will not work on an Apple (which is correct). As above you need to buy the MAC version but once you do the documents you produce can be opened by anyone with a PC or a MAC and likewise any stuff you previously created on a PC you will be able to open on your Apple.
