Fair point, but the difference is that you can ask your Dibb Villa Owner about their security arrangements (alarm, safe, deadlocks etc) before you go.
It is true the world over that most burglaries are crimes of opportunity and that given the choice between a secured home and a less-secured home the would-be burglar will always pick the easiest target with the richest pickings
Therefore the best way to prevent burglary is to pick a properly secure property where valuables are not on overt display.
This is where many holidaymakers often come unstuck by leaving valuables on display. Shutting the blinds when you go out not only helps keep the house cool it also prevents would-be burglars from spotting the ipad left charging in the kitchen.
