Sounds like you had a good day, but very hot! IOA doesn't have much shade.
Hogsmeade is lovely and so detailed, but it's so busy, we never made it near Ollivanders, but luckily when we went in Oct the crowds were much better and you could have a reasonable look.
There was a CM at the castle entrance when we went, and there was a queue all the way through the castle so you did get a chance to have a reasonable look, it sounds like they've changed it since. Shame.
