My DD is 48, Type 1 diabetic for 38years, and she/we still have panics like that. Back then she was told to avoid alcohol as the symptoms of a hypo were similar to being drunk, especially if it could be smelt on the breath. Not good when you want to blend in. Hope your DD can get on top of things and feel comfortable telling friends etc. It's good that you have a backup at her accommodation.
