Issue number 1:
Try this, and see if any settings are useful. If not, buy an external keyboard to attach.
To customize the Samsung keyboard, navigate to Settings. Search for and select Language and input. Tap On-screen keyboard, and then tap Samsung Keyboard. Customize the available settings the way you want them.

Issue number 2:
Sounds like you have too many programs/apps trying to start up when you power up the laptop. To amend (in Windows 10) go to Settings> Apps > Start Up and you should be able to see which apps are set to start up, you can chose to switch these on or off... That might help.
