Ellen's is good for entertainment but the food is no more than average really. It's not bad, but it's not amazing. For a young girl it's probably quite a good choice.

For (fairly pricey) steak - Lincoln Square Steak.
For slightly cheaper but still quite pricey, Landmarc in the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle.
