It makes no difference. It’s fine to leave in standby 24/7. Which i assume is what you mean. If you were going away for weeks unplug them.
This reminds me a bit of my grandma who used to insist you had to put all plug power switches to off even if nothing plugged in, otherwise they could start a fire, and my mates’ mum in 1985 who used to cover the VHS with a sheet, so the clock wouldn’t attract burglars at night.

My mum and dad used to think you had to turn the gas she water off when you went on holiday as well.
