As above, buy a 21 day ticket instead. It's �439 per adult so only �20 more than the 14 day ticket - although the latter is currently on a price promotion for �399. These are prices direct from Disney, you might save a bit through other reputable sellers - haven't checked.

Unless there's a big group of you, that's a small price to pay to ensure you can go to MK on both your first and last day if you choose. And still cheaper than a day at the gate.

ETA: Although given you're going in September, there's always a chance your last night will fall on a Halloween party night which you'd need a separate ticket for anyway. So unless Disney run their ticket sale at the end of the year like last year, I'd probably hold off purchasing any until those dates are announced (around April) and can finalise your itinerary to know how many days you need.
