Interestingly enough, we don’t start teaching time until children are in year 3. It begins with o’clock and half past before moving on to quarters, then 5s before to the minute. And digital is taught alongside this.
I use paper circles which. We fold in half before quarters and then label as we move on.
A quick google will bring up loads of worksheets and YouTube videos
