On that day 60 days before, all our days opened up and let us book FP's for our full 2 week trip even though we only booked a 1 night stay! We just assumed this was the normal process, but on our last trip we booked a night at POP and 60 days before that date, only the POP dates opened up for FP's, and the rest we had to do on a rolling 30 days.
We rang Disney World and told them it was different from last time and asked why, and they said that the normal process is that you can only book 60 days out for the dates that you are staying onsite, and the dates you are offsite will open up 30 days in advance from each date. However, sometimes there can be glitches in the system and that's why on our other trip it allowed us to book our full trip at 60 days out even though we only had 1 night onsite.
Not sure if these glitches still exist though as this was a couple of years ago now and they may have fixed them! See more...

Thanks for confirming... might keep checking to see if the 'glitch' re-appears
