Fantastic news, great to see Disney Investing so much over the next 5 years after under investing in the parks for a while. In regards to HS, Disney want all the work done at HS by end of 2019 so they can fully relaunch the park, (likely with a new name). In an ideal world they might have done some of the projects earlier ie toy story land and Great Movie land replacement, but the finance for them wasn't in place and without the financial go ahead they cant happen. I would rather do what they are doing, much like they did at California Adventure and get all the work done and out of the way now, rather than open up stars wars land in 2019 with big construction walls around the centre of the park.

We didn't ride the great movie ride on our last trip and still had plenty to keep us busy from around 12pm-7.30pm close.

There is always going to be construction going on somewhere in the parks its just the way it is and always will be as the parks continue to add new stuff. Epcot is going to end up with construction boards everywhere as they reimagine the park (from the Arial view concept future world looks very different) but will be worth it when its all done. In all our visits we have never let construction and closed attractions affect our holiday.

Also expect lots of construction soon at Universal as well its expected Dragon Challenge will close latter this year so they can start work on a new Forbidden Forrest ride and the kids area next to ET at the studios is likely to close soon so they can start work on Nintendo land ready to open in 2021.
