Oh Linda you have made me laugh. We went on a family trip up London and my eldest granddaughter was wearing a short flared dress and out of my mouth came my late mother's voice saying "I hope you have a proper pair of drawers on". She hadn't a clue what I meant but once I explained she was able to reassure me she was in fact wearing cycling shorts.
