Sue they are tied on to the garden twine with florist wire available on line from Jonny craft etc I buy it on a paddle but you can get it in lengths a big packet pound land think,they are maybe 10 inches long which might be easier if you don’t want to use Daves wire cutters
I cut a length the fold it in half put it round the bottom of the pine cone twist it to secure then use the two tails to tie on to your garland or wreath
Poundland have dried orange slices cinamon sticks pine cones etc
You can use the wire to tie on ribbon baubles etc
It’s teally easy and Home Bargins have some really nice berry garland to pad it out
