Had a nice lazy start to the day. Some toast and cereal in the room then headed to the boat dock at 10:15. We were on the boat at 10:25 and off to the Contemporary resort for a wander before getting the monorail to the Polynesian for breakfast with Stitch.
Isabel is keeping track of how much we spend on food (we'll update at the end of the trip report)
It's our first time without the dining plan so we're keeping track for a comparison.
I'm going to keep track of what we're saving by using my DVC discount (20% off merchandise etc)
At 11:10 we got on the monorail to head for our 11:40 ‘Ohana reservation
Got a little Moana house to add to the collection
After our late breakfast we wandered round the resort and headed to the transportation and ticket centre to get the monorail to Epcot
First stop was the festival centre to pick up our free passholder magnet
I got Joni an Epcot passport and Remy's hide and squeak game
Joni had a laugh at the vikings in Norway
I had a lovely Eistök beer from a cart in Norway
We picked up a postcard and suitcase (ziplock bag) in Norway. Joni got her passport stamped and put some stickers in her book too.
We found our first Remy
We rode Frozen Ever After. Joni is in there somewhere- you'll just need to imagine her face haha!
We took our time strolling round world showcase, looking for Remy as we went
Frog on a lily pad
We had some dinner in Katsura Grill. Katsu curry and a chicken & beef teriyaki
We also had a kirin beer
There were some little ducklings in the pond
Joni had a chat with a cast member
who gave her a little origami flower
We had some ice cream at artisan de glaces
I had the strawberries and cream macaron
We decided to head home and had some fun with the lights
“Wow, the ball, it's huge”
Another amazing day!
We had a bit of a wait on a bus (about 25 mins) but we were soon in bed with a cuppa ready for tomorrow's adventures.
