Heading into the Sunset day 6 Shopping and DTD

Weather today mid - high 70s and cloudy.

Today was going to be quite a lazy day, so we had a slow start with a dip in the pool, playing air hockey and helping ourselves to breakfast. We were ready to leave by about 10.30 and headed off to IDrive to the Premium Outlets. David and Jack were delighted to be going shopping ;-)))) the rest of us were looking forward to bagging a few bargains.

We went in both cars in case we decided to split up, parking was bad, and it took ages to find spaces, but we got there in the end and met up with the help of phone calls. We all had shops that we wanted to see, firstly the Converse shop where Helen and I got 4 tops, a bracelet, a pair of baby Converse, a hoody, a pair of Hi Tops and a pair of shoes $172. Good start. Next, Yankee candle - 18 tarts and 2 large jars for $41. Dooney and Bourke saw me buy a gorgeous bag for $130 and then in the Disney Outlet I got quite a few bargains - Princess bag down to $7 from $25, 2 cars toys for $15, a lovely top down from $35 to $9 and a backpack for $9 instead of $30. Some of these were still on sale at the full price in the parks!
In between browsing, we stopped off at the food court for Chinese which is always good - $16 for 2 meals.
David and Jack had seen enough by now and went back to the villa pool ( this is a good example of needing 2 cars for a family trip) while the rest of us drove down IDrive to the other Premium Outlet, where we called at Bath and Body, Converse where Helen got 2 pairs of one off hi tops ( now sold on eBay for more than twice the price) and got another lovely DIsney bag for $20 to use for work. After a rest with a Starbucks frappechino, where a man from Tennessee in the queue asked me if I knew Elvis? , (I must have one of those faces I think!) we set off for DTD where we had arranged to meet the 2 drop outs :-).
Again it took ages to get parked, but we soon met up with them near the Lego store, where Jack had money burning holes in his pockets. Once he had bought enough Lego we stopped at Ghirardelli for a taster chocolate and each bought a bag of squares then just had a lovely wander around one of our favourite places, visiting Arribas, the Art of DIsney, Days of Christmas and enjoying the atmosphere as it got dark. One of the CMs drew Mickey on the floor with a wet mop for Helen. It's amazing how hungry shopping makes you - so we went to the Earl of Sandwich and filled up with Tuna Melts, Caribbean Jerk Chicken and Full Montagues.
Finally, we drove home in the dark after a long, happy day, ready for bed and looking forward to tomorrow.
