Expedia Taxes & Charges

I have never used Expedia before, can anyone confirm for me if I book a hotel in FLL via expedia do I have to pay "taxes" at the hotel or are they included in expedia bookings (I know I have to pay resort fee at the hotel it clearly states that bit!)

Booking breakdown does show "taxes and Fees" of around £77 but when you click on the info it states

Taxes & Fees

The taxes are tax recovery charges Expedia pays to its vendors (e.g. hotels); for details, please see our Terms of Use. We retain our service fees as compensation in servicing your travel reservation.
which I may be reading incorrectly but I can't tell if that means these are the taxes for the local florida state tax that expedia will pay to the hotel or if it's the "service fee" for servicing the travel reservation!
