I'm the dibber who has had the problem!
It stayed on the 'we recieved your old passport ' for about 3.5wks. It suddenly changes to 'its on its way'. For me that's when the problem started. TNT have had a big problem in getting passports out. I was on hold in total over 8hrs and couldn't get through to anyone. In the end I involved our mayor and local MP. I managed to speak to someone after that and I was told they'd get it out to me. It arrived the next day.
Was crazy and not right that it took an MP for them to deliver it. Passport office weren't interested as they'd done their part...they did say we wouldn't be eligible for an urgent appointment as it wasn't lost or stolen - TNT confirm they have it... hopefully this will all have resolved by the time they send yours out xx
