Im in the same boat as you, we are off to Thailand, but going via Shanghai so I can complete the Disney Parks, only Shanghai left to do.

We are looking at the Toy Story hotel too, the price is decent too. As far as I'm aware, the fastpasses only are for hotel guests, and become available on the day.
