We had a few days there last week. We walked along Collins Ave and Ocean Drive - love all the Art Deco buildings. If we hadn't had kids with us, I think DH and I would have had lunch at the Villa (Versace Mansion) just to see inside.

Yes, 3-7 is happy hour on Ocean Drive for 2-4-1 massive cocktails!

South Pointe pier is nice for a walk and great views of Fisher Island, Docker Island (where the cruise ships are) and Downtown Miami.

The beach is lovely but avoid the afternoon because the storms are worse than Orlando and if you get rained off - you've wasted your sunbed/brolley money.

We liked Espanola Way for independent Italian/Spanish/Mexican food.

The independent restaurants don't do refills on sodas.

All the sightseeing areas are a way apart so you need transport - bus or Uber.

Wynward walls was great but not as big as I expected.

Bayside is nice for bars, shops, and restaurants but not very big. Nice boats to look at in the dock.

The Sugar Factory inside the Hotel Victor on Ocean Drive does fab milkshakes if you have kids!
