Thank you so much for this thread- makes me think of ‘normal’ even though there seems so far to go.
And the answer, based on the replies here, it clearly depends. Last summer our pool was up to 90 without heating, never went below 87 even overnight. But some people like the heating, so there you go.
Edited to add- if there is a spa and you would like a warm one, check whether you will be able to heat the spa if you don’t have the pool heated.
