We took our son at 12 months. As above a carrier is very helpful (will still take one for this and he is nearly 3!) We found the journey out there fine, but back was tough as he was tired but could not sleep, so was very upset. We just helped how we could (feeding, Calpol) until he did. We loved the trip and all had a great time. Well worth the hard flight! Buy bits like milk and snacks from boots and click and collect to get them after security. Disney is great at any age. We where amazed at how much he enjoyed at this age.
