We returned last week, and used our baggage allowance to the absolute max! We both had a carry on case and a rucksack/handbag.
Our suitcases were 22.9 and 23.1kg  - apparently the absolute max Virgin will accept is 24kg (was told this at MCO check in ). The largest carry on was weighed too (9.5 kg!)
I never travel without my luggage scales...
