It is a shame Joan. It’s arthritis and he knows that he will eventually need a knee replacement, he’s already had one hip done. His surgeon’s said that at 57 he’s still too young to have the knee done unless it seizes up completely. Normally he manages pretty well on pain killers but he does find it hard to stand in one place for long periods so queuing’s not good! x
