Have you previously purchased one of the personalised bricks that are on the pathways to the entrance to Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World? Disney has been making changes to the entrances of the parks and one of those changes involve the removal of the personalised bricks.
"Disney's Walk Around the World" personalised brick pavers were introduced during the 1990's as a way for guests to leave their mark on Walt Disney World.
Guests could purchase a special brick paver that would be inscribed with the name, date and message from the guest. The brick paver would then be placed on the pathway that leads from the monorails to the entrance of Magic Kingdom.
If you have looked down as you walk to the entrance you will have seen the bricks and probably read many of the messages and names.
"Disney's Walk Around the World" pavement stones, which were originally committed to be on display until 2011 and have now been on display for 20+ years are about to be permanently removed.
The bricks were not designed to be individually removed and they will not be available for guests to keep.
For those guests that sponsored a brick they may purchase a commemorative version which will be available until 31st Aug, 2019 for a discounted price by visiting Guest Relations. They will need to verify their information upon which they will receive a special voucher that allows them to get a special recreation for only $10. Guests can also email guest.services@disneyworld.com or call 407-828-2701 to verify their brick information and get their voucher.
All guests are now able to purchase a 6” brick at $29.99, 8” brick at $49.99 and ornament at $24.99, all with customisation included. These are at Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. or the Disney Springs Marketplace Co-Op, or on shopDisney.com starting this spring.
