We flew with Virgin last year and my mum has something similar so she finds it very painful to sit for long periods. They pre-arranged a Burnett Body Support for her during the flight, it did help to ease the pain in her spine but the onboard crew weren't well trained in installing it, they had to call engineers out on the outbound flight to work it out
