My contract reads 37.5 hours over 7 days, we reserve the right to change your shift pattern dependent on needs of the business. Unfortunately i think you will find they are probably within their rights but yes definitely check with your union.
On a side note, i think its a great idea and 8 wish our drs would open on a weekend
