When you say central I guess if depends on what you class as the attractions. County hall is near the Thames , but no where near the science museum or london zoo.

The metrople Edgware road (Hilton) has plenty of rooms with 2 double beds etc, You can get a night with full english for 4 people for less then �120. They also have a pool. The hotel is a short walk from Hyde park and regents park. It has great tube links as well.
