The Magic 3 do Florida - October 2019

Hello

with just 31 days to go until our first trip to Florida, I thought it was time to start the pre-trippie.

The Cast
As you can probably guess from the title, there are three of us going on the trip - me, Tara, chief planner; DH, Mark, chief payer; and DS, Heath, chief birthday boy as he turns eight while we're out there.

We went to DLP last February and loved it, so I decided to pull the trigger on the big one!

The Plans

We fly from Gatwick direct to MCO on 16th October, with Virgin premium economy.

Our first three nights will be spent at the Royal Pacific Resort club level

Then the next 11 will be at Animal Kingdom Lodge savannah view

The ADRs
We booked last April so have got the free DDP, which is good because Heath wants as many character meals as possible!
  • Cinderella's Royal Table lunch - this one's for me because I'm desperate to get inside the castle!
  • Sana'a dinner
  • Sci Fi dine in lunch
  • Garden Grill breakfast
  • Storybook dinner
  • Crystal Palace breakfast
  • Hollywood and Vine dinner
  • Tusker House dinner
  • Chef Mickey breakfast - this is the day of Heath's birthday so I've ordered a celebration cake too, but the woman on the phone was very spacey so I'm not entirely convinced we'll actually get it!
  • Be Our Guest lunch
  • Boma breakfast
We've also got a breakfast and lunch booking at Oga's cantina.

The Extras
Obviously I felt Disney hadn't had enough of my money so I have splashed out on a few extras.

The main one is MNSSHP on 24th October - so excited about this!

I have to admit that I also booked an upcharge within an upcharge and booked the dessert party so we can get a good view of the new Halloween fireworks as they're projection-heavy.

We've also got a dessert party booked for Happy Ever After on 28th October.

The Rides
Heath is not a coaster fan at all bless him. I have persuaded him to try Hagrid's so we'll see how we get on with those queues. I'm determined to get him on all the Harry Potter rides as he's a big fan (he and Mark are Slytherins, I'm a Ravenclaw in case you're wondering ) but he definitely won't be doing anything like the Hulk!

At Disney, I think rides like Slinky and 7 dwarfs will probably be his limit so I've got a few FPs for them and his second favourite ride from DLP, Peter Pan. He also adores It's a Small World and is outraged that WDW doesn't have his top fav, the Ratatouille ride, yet!

Right, I think that'll do for now. I've loved reading all about other people's trips on the Dibb so am looking forward to sharing our adventures too!
