Switzerland Summer 2020 - Day 10 - Aerial Treewalk

O's university lectures day so he was up early - though as he is downstairs we didn't hear him at al! I had got him an apple strudel the day before and he had that as a first breakfast before having waffles as a second one later!

The rest of us breakfast and we were ready to leave at about 10am to the aerial treewalk in Verbier.

Only the kids were going to do this. I hate them (due to my ungoatness) and J had hurt his finger earlier in the week.

Upon arrival we realised it probably wasn't the most extensive treewalk the kids had done but they were keen and it was half price with the VIP pass.

J took June to the mountain again and walked back down while I stayed with the kids (not that they needed me - they are completely competent at this type of activity! )

I took a few photos of Verbier

There are some very expensive properties here. We saw a 35m2 studio apartment in the window of one of the many estate agents for 500,000CHF (about the same in euros).

You can just see the cabin going up in the distance.

The kids had fun but after about 90 minutes they had exhausted all the possibilities and it was getting busier with a lot of younger children.

J was back down so we walked to him and then decided to have lunch at somewhere F and I had seen earlier in the week.

J and I had a tuna club sandwich with chips and a salad. They changed this for us from chicken as we don't eat meat. O ate half of mine as well as his chocolate pancakes. F had a goat's cheese salad. With a glass of beer this was 89 CHF so not cheap but tasty.

After a couple of hours break at the house, J, F and I headed out as we needed diesel and Adblue for the car. June came too whilst O stayed at home studying for his exam.

We also called into the lidl (it was about 30 minutes away) and got some treats. Lidl was much cheaper thankfully!

Back home J took June for a quick walk while I made dinner - gnocchi again (O is obsessed by this! )

We also had the usual post dinner game of Boogle - the kids are definitely improving!

We then went on the evening June walk. She was in high alert for cats!

The hamlet is basically a maze of narrow roads and converted old stables. We saw one in the estate agents (unrenovated) for 700,000CHF! It certainly isn't cheap to live here though apparently salaries are the third highest in the world (after Norway and Luxembourg)

Back at the house it was bed time. Fresh air makes you very tired!
