Most airlines allow you to take a pram & a car seat with you for free if you don't want to hire a car seat. Last year (my son was 2 so older but still needed both) we just bought a car seat bag from Amazon & took our own car seat. Was so much easier & put our minds at ease that it was car seat we knew how to work & trusted... plus the car seat bag came in very handy on the way home to put in the silly amount of soft toys we got there. No-one looked in the bag or even batted an eyelid! x
