Depends what you are looking to do. We like to head up to Blue Springs State Park. It's very tranquil, you can swim there and hire out rubber rings or canoes, there are a number of walks there and if you are lucky, depending on the time of year you may see some Manatees.
Parking is $6 but it does get busy during the holidays and at weekends and once the car park is full, that's it, no-one else gets in
