DW and I have discussed some options, the favourite so far is Fly into Sydney for 6 nights, fly up to Brisbane for 4 nights then fly up to Cairns for 5/6 nights. We'll use each stop as a base to take trips into the countryside rather than drive through it. Really liking the look of Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef as I'm into all things aquatic.
