Thanks everyone, such lovely messages.

TBH I'd told him I didn't want to go away but, now that it's booked and we're going so soon, I'm looking forward to it.

Booked so far:
train to Manchester airport day before
Radisson blu hotel with runway view
day 1 at SSR with ME
days 4 to 14 in a villa with a lake view we've stayed in before.
Currency ordered to pick up tomorrow

Just need to book days 2 and 3 accommodation and the car hire. We don't need airport parking as we'll be picked up at Heathrow on landing.

We already have Estas and passports in date. Booked a couple of meals but haven't got any park tickets as think I'm happy to just sit by a pool (if it's warm enough) and, if not, do lots of shopping.

Really hope I've remembered everything.
