Howling @ the Horror 2015 - Day 1 and Intro

I never quite get round to writing trip reports but at the moment I am laid up with a broken ankle and I am bored so I thought I would use some of the time productively and write a Trip Report.

So first off, who are we? Well we are the Wobbles and we have been around theDibb for years. He is Steven and I am Emma. We are both Civil Servants, We both love Halloween, The Walking Dead and relaxing on holidays...

Our Story is one very typical of theDibb, its one of love, sacrifice and obsession...

I loved going to Orlando - He decided the ultimate act of Sacrifice (on his part) was ONE trip many years ago and then NO MORE (my sacrifice) - now we are both obsessed with Halloween Florida style. The year we are going for 14 nights

Introductions
Day One - Travel
Day Two - Aquatica
Day Three - Halloween Horror Nights
Day Four - Howl-O-Scream
Day Five - Tampa and Clearwater
Day Six - Halloween Horror Nights
Day Seven - Discovery Cove
Day Eight - Quiet Day (= Shopping)
Day Nine - Halloween Horror and Scareactor Feast
Day Ten - Behind the Screams Tour (and Halloween Horror)
Day Eleven - Howl-O-Scream
Day Twelve - Quiet Day
Day Thirteen - Universal and HHN
Day Fourteen - Quiet Day
Day Fifteen - Home

So a few things you will notice, we don't do Disney and we don't do Seaworld. We go for the Halloween and stay for the food...

I hope you enjoy our trip. I will also try and give some indication of costs and what we spent where and when.

Thanks for Reading

The Wobbles

Day One - Travel

As I didn't plan a trip report, I didn't make too many notes for our travel day (or take many pictures), but in a nutshell

Pre Travel Day

Got up - took "Da Boys" on their holiday to our local Cattery after one last meal (Smudge and Stanley were not happy... they will be even worse in two weeks)

Came home and finished packing, lost, found and lost again our personalised ribbon, passports and tickets - all the usual stuff and then suddenly were were ready to go...

Travelled from Bristol to the Premier Inn in Heathrow

Hotel - fantastic location, great food and drink, perfect we would use again.

went to sleep :-)

Travel Day

We were on the 0730 United Airline flight to Washington, so up very early for fruit juice and crossiants from Pauls (a little pre holiday tradition).

Amazing flight

It look us 32 minutes from leaving the plane on arrival at Washington to sitting in departures for our connection (whilst chomping on our favourite Potbelly Sandwiches), we were the only ones in immigration and customs.

Another Amazing flight

And it took us about 35 minutes from landing to sitting in the car as wehad completed Alamo Skip the Desk, we found that we were sitting in the seat of the "Beast"... (we had an upgrade as they didn't have any of our class left)

Before long, we have arrived at our Dibb Villa in Windwood Bay (hey Bolton) and were chilling out with food from the local Publix... And then our first dip in the pool. We love the space of a villa and the privacy of the pool.

We were here, we were chilled and we were ready for Halloween...

Days Spends
Sandwiches and Drinks at Washington DC - $22.95
Food at Publix (including beer, soft drinks, milk and cereals for breakfasts, water and snacks) - $60.30

Total Daily Spend - 83.25
Running Total - 83.25

On to Day 2

I enjoy flying with United too, their cabin crew are great, much more down to earth than UK staff!

I always thought it would be amazing to be in the USA for Halloween and we finally were last year.
