What Happens in Vegas...Day 9 - North Premier Outlets & Mon Ami Gabi

Apologies for the extreme delay in posting this, had a lottt of stuff going on with getting a new job and sorting through the referencing for that.

Here is our last full day :

Wednesday 8th June 2016

We woke up at 9am today and it was our last full day, so we were both feeling a little sad. The plan for the day was to do some last bits of shopping as we still wanted to visit the North Premium outlets.

We started off with breakfast at the Bacchanal Buffet, again this was $33.50, but was honestly the nicest buffet I have ever been too. I would highly recommend this for anyone visiting Vegas, it’s quite pricey but the quality and variety of food is amazing. We also enjoyed eating a big breakfast because it saved us from eating again until dinner time, neither of us really enjoyed eating during the daytime as it was so hot.

After we ate breakfast, we decided to get an Uber to the outlets, by this point it was around 11:30am.

We arrived at the outlets at 12:15, there was a fair bit of traffic on the roads.

We picked up a few good bargains, mostly from the Calvin Klein store and Kate Spade. I got myself some new gym leggings and a birthday present for my friend in Calvin Klein, I also got some new trainers for $50 at the Nike outlet. Amy got herself a Kate Spade purse, they had a good offer on, everything was 60% off with a further 20% off on bags and purses.

After we had finished shopping we ordered an Uber, Amy wanted to pick up a pair of Beats headphones and she saw online that Walmart and another American store, I can’t remember the name of it but it reminded me of Currys/ Dixons.

We got to both of the stores, but the pair of headphones she wanted were sold out. We had an Apple store in our hotel which sold them, but they were $90 more expensive in there. So she said she would decide the next morning and buy them last minute before we leave.

After this we went back to the hotel, it was around 3:30pm, so we decided to spend the rest of the afternoon by the pool before heading to our reservation at 7pm at Mon Ami Gabi.

We left the hotel at around 6:30pm, as we knew it was only a short walk over to Paris, on arrival we asked if we could have a fountain view table and they said it would be around a 30 minute wait, we weren’t in a rush and wanted to make the most of our last evening in Vegas so we decided to wait. We were given a buzzer and were told not to wonder off to far, so we sat on the slot machines right by the restaurant (failing miserably may I add).

Once our buzzer finally went off, it was around 7:45pm, we were seated at our table, our server told us he would be over with some bread and water shortly to give us time to look at the menu.

The view of the fountains were absolutely amazing and it was such a lovely setting for dinner, we were both getting the horrible “time to go home feeling”.
We were talking about the holiday and how much of a lovely time we’d had, it was nice to go on holiday as just two, no dramas, no issues and it’s very easy to be able to do everything that you both want to do.

We decided to share a starter, we ordered the “Baked Goats Cheese – tomato sauce with warm herb garlic bread”.

For mains we both ordered the, Steak Frites. I had the “Bordelaise – Caramelised onion, red wine sauce” and Amy ordered “Au Poivre – Brandy Peppercorn Sauce”.

The food was amazing, we were very cheeky and asked for more of the French bread as we ran out of garlic bread with our starter :P. The steaks were amazing, the sauce mine came with was so nice, I was expecting it to be really rich, but I finished every last bite!

We did look at the dessert menu, but we decided against. We wanted to take a walk down the strip for a final time that evening, so we agreed that we may get something sweet later on.

The price of the meal came to $73.85 + tip.

After we had paid the bill we had a look around the Paris and explored the hotel, this is the first time we had been in here. It was close to 10pm, we decided to start walking down the strip and made our way to a Walgreens, we both wanted to pick up a couple of things for the Airplane journey the next day and Amy wanted to grab some sweets to take home for family and friends.

This was our last time seeing the strip view in the evening (well for this holiday , I will definitely be venturing back to Vegas).

We grabbed ourselves some ice cream bars and peanut butter cups which we ate as we walked back to Caesars. We decided to head back to the hotel, wonder round the casino and have a couple of drinks before heading to bed.

I think we made it back to the room around 12:30am. We had to check out of the room by 11am, and we wanted to leave the hotel by 2pm as our flight was at 5:15pm.

Next: Day 10 - Homeward bound.

Mon Ami Gabi looks amazing, i have always fancied it but deemed it too priced. Your bill seemed fair though for what you had, the food looks great!

We found if you say no to the alcohol and stick to the water the bill wasn't too bad. Our steaks were just under $30 each, I think from memory mine was $29.95 and Amy's was $28.95 and the starter we shared was only $13.95 or something close to that.

I would say it was definitely worth it though, even if you go there just to have a main meal it is such a nice setting especially if you can get the outside seating!

Yes! that was the name of the shop, it's been bugging me because I couldn't remember that! Food was so good!

I'd been slowly writing things up, but I kept getting interrupted with things coming up! I hate leaving things un-finished so I had to get it completed .

Me too, I love being able to indulge kind of guilt free on holiday, as I try to be quite strict with myself at home . Highly recommend the baked goats cheese!

Sounds like a fab day. We have Mon Ami booked as a treat for our daughters 18th ( a few days after we leave ) . Fab that a patio table doesn't take too long. We are there for The BIG fight and had a reservation for that night but changed to the following day when we hope Vegas won't be so busy.
