Is this a good price or could I do better DIY?

Got a quote off charter travel for 15th August 2018 for 16 nights. Direct flights with VA Manchester to MCO for me, DD12 and DS13, car for 16 days including insurance, 10 nights at RPR (already have Disney booked for first 6 nights) and universal 3 park tickets, £5775. Only booked out of school hols before so don't know what to expect with flight prices. I thought I might get a good deal on RPR as its over 7 night stay, any thoughts

Most airlines don't release flights until 11 months before departure (so, for you, from sept 2017).
It is almost always cheaper to DIY rather than book everything through an agent.
As a guide, if you look on kayak for this august, you can get indirect flights with aer Linus for your dates for £519, and the cheapest direct flights are from London £572 with Thomas cook. Direct virgin flights will probably always be around £1000 each in August.
Hotels, I normally find the best bargains on hotels.com or ba.com
Tickets, usually use floridatix or undercover tourist.
Car hire, I usually use Alamo and book through virgin holidays website.
you have to put a bit of effort/time in to find good prices, but it is worth it.
Remember to use cash back sites when booking, for more savings. And also sign up for rewards on the websites ie hotels.com welcome rewards, ba executive club etc.

Direct Manchester VA are always dearer than other airports in the Uk.
Can't help with your other prices but top line VA economy is circa £1000, anything less is a bonus. Could you try 17 August for 2 weeks as this year the prices dropped.
We got bargain PE flights at £832 each flying the 17th this year.

Thanks everyone, yes Dave we're flexible on dates as long as we get back for school. I think the flight prices are throwing me a bit, don't mind indirect but would prefer direct on the way home if possible. I'll hang off to September and see what the flights are like
