Air Portugal thoughts
Hi all
Looking at flying to Miami for Easter 18 with flights from 29th March to 11th April for 2 ads and 1 ch. Best price coming up is with Air Portugal from Heathrow, via Lisbon for a total of £1450, which is very tempting Has anyone had any experience with this route or airline? Rob |

Do you mean TAP ? If so I've flown with them short haul quite a few times from Heathrow to Lisbon & Faro . No issues , they are upgrading planes at the moment , once a flight was delayed but that can happen to any airline . Lisbon Airport is quite straightforward changing planes and or terminals .

Yes I have done this a few times - no problems at all. Most of the TAP planes to the USA have been recently refurbed so comfortable seats, good IFE and the food is always tasty (for plane food!). Connecting in Lisbon is very easy - it's all in the same terminal and well signposted.
I wouldn't hesitate to do this route again if this price is right.

Thanks for this info, flight times look good too!
Is 1hr 45mins enough time to connect? Rob |

We were delayed from Heathrow once and had 45mins to connect at Lisbon along with other passengers on the outward flight . The TAP staff were very good at getting us off the plane first & directing us to the new gate in the terminal . We did have to go back through security but the gates weren't that far apart & they put us on a shuttle bus to get to the plane quickly .

tAP long haul is pretty good.
If you have to take a flight to Lisbon first those are a bit ropey though |
