Using EE mobile on Fjords cruise / Norway

I am going on Norwegian cruise next Sunday, would like to be able to contact home, I know its not easy on the ship but in Norway what's the best option?
Anyone get the ee roaming
when I was on Florida last year I couldn't text or make calls or receive calls, I had a package put on as well
Any advice?

My EE package allows me to use my unlimited calls & texts allowance in both the UK & Europe without additional cost.

Do you have that facility on your contract?

I have made & received calls & texts (although not many) using my EE phone in Florida with data roaming turned off with no issues

We got back from a Fyords cruise last week. I used a three add on.
I did get a text saying calls were 3p a minute.
Don't use your phone on the ship as you will use their network at up to �2 a minute.

You should simply be able to use your inclusive minutes, texts and data as you do at home under the new EU roaming regs which came in on 15 June.
When we did a fjords cruise, for much of the time we could pick up a phone signal from the land whilst on the ship. As others have said don't use ship's very expensive phone network.

Just be careful when you are at sea, as that can be a lot more expensive, best to use when you are in ports. There will always be free wifi near the cruise terminals, as crew love to contact family as often as they can. Hope you have a fantastic cruise, I am told weather in norway is nice just now, my hubby is out there working, but it can be changeable so take a few layers.
