Shall we, sharn't we, oh for goodness sake book it. Day 14, hometime.
So our very last day is here! We all know what this day feels like don't we, you're in limbo, as soon as you leave the hotel, you want to go home but the flights are usually evening. Ours is actually 3.45 so not too bad.
We finish the last of the milk and cornflakes, planned that well. Get our stuff sorted and we check out, nothing to pay which is always good. We head up to the Town Square again, there's a couple of bits I want from Bath and Body Works and they have a buy two get one free deal which I make use of. We stop for a last coffee in the sun. The temp here today is actually 'only' 77 degrees, the Valet guys had the patio heaters on because they were cold! Car rental return is nice and easy, nothing extra to pay and we're on the bus to the airport. Now, something I noticed here was that the driver helped us all get our luggage off the shelves, we tipped him obviously and so did an American couple but the others all didn't bother, they had European accents but I couldn't tell which country. All checked in and we head to security. I get straight through, Richard sets everything off as per normal. They do the body scan thingy and tell him he has something in his shoe! He says he doesn't! They say he does and make him take it off and but it back through the scanner! He doesn't! Drama over and we head to Burger King for lunch. Onwards to the newsagent for Pringles and A bag of mini Snickers. A word of warning here, the big party bags of M&Ms are $9.50 in Walmart here in Vegas, in the airport they are $25😳😳 I kid you not, so don't leave it till you get to the airport to buy them thinking it will be cheaper, I promise you it won't! Trying to extract the last dollar from you! Onto the plane and we've been moved from the seats I booked, were now on a row of four, I booked a two! We are right at the front though so do have extra legroom. Flight time is 9 hrs, nice and quick. Food is vile apart from the chocolate torte which is lovely. I do have a photo but it's on Richards phone and he's out! Neither of us sleep which makes for a lovely 2.5 hr drive up the motorway when we land. Breakfast is also horrible apart from the tiny pain au chocolate, the tea is still rank! Immigration is actually a breeze and our bags are quickly on the carousel. We text the car park and a bus arrives as we walk out of the doors. Car collected were on our way, traffic is hideous but the M25 always is so nothing new there. We're soon home and is little face is waiting for us! See you all 10 weeks today (which will be Christmas Eve) for our flight to Florida! TTFN xx Edited at 09:25 PM. |

Great trippie, although think I may have missed a couple of days. Will go back and check, to put that right.
Love how your cat is waiting for you to come home.
